solution??

- maintain your car properly. Hard core alfisti are passionate with their cars, use expensive good oil and bla bla bla...
- your car auto, his car manual.
- Join HPC and improve on your driving skills..

oh btw, the car following behind has the advantage as you being in front act as a wind deflector. So it requires less effort to chase then being chased...

And no point racing on the road, dangerous... Join us at the track..

FWD horse power deliver to wheel is more efficient compare to RWD car mah.. Meaning on the straight, going for top speed, FWD car will have some advantage. Chassis also lighter because missing the central propeller shaft tunnel. But their chassis flex more than ours la. Ours very rigid and SAFE!

The propeller shaft alone in the RWD car is damn heavy lio.. :D Try curvy road la.. 3 series can score better.. whether driver up to it or not, dunno la.. :D I have seen E36 M3 makan R33 GTR in Batu 3 track. Sap sap the water! while the R33 is all over the place despite more powerful, having problem keeping to the racing line.

Joined since May 2007, and this is your first post? Hmm...

Anyways, look for a corner, and torque-steer the sucker into the nearest hedge...

stock figure for 156 TS selespeed

PerformanceFuel DeliveryInjectionBHP155.0Torque (lbs feet)137.9RPM to which the Torque refers3500Maximum Speed (mph)
134Acceleration (0-60)8.6
134mph = 215kph

ur speedometer showing 230kph but actual speed would be between 220 - 225kph... if the Alfa is modded, then it shouldn't be too much trouble to go beyond 215kph... and there's some slipstream effect as he was tailing you..

for the E36, see here: http://www.bmwclubmalaysia.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3017

******************
Model: Engine: Power: Topspeed: Year:
328i M52 6 cylinder 193 HP 236 km/h 1994 - 1998
******************

I suspect this figure is for the 328i manual, our CKD 4-speed GM autobox will not give the same performance...

Any solution? Yes! Plenty.

1. Keep the E36, but go look for an M3 engine transplant.
2. Ditch the E36, go get a RM199k Civic Type R.. bypass the speed limiter.. even 3.2L Alfa 156 GTA also cannot tapau u. :D

There's this thing called terminal velocity.. even if we move parallel to the earth surface.. wind force created will limit your speed and it takes a much greater deal of horse power to move a little faster compare to moving from stationary.

Heavy....?betul ka?Propshafts are not solid pieces.they are hollow....and no they are not heavy at all....as confirmed by the weight of my e30 and e34 propshafts when I had them removed last.........

Might be a single-post alfa guy trying to have some fun here...

I had more problem gunning down a 328 as compared to a 156 2.0 ....

Eddiedee, I know how you feel when kena cucuk from behind at high speed. Like many of us here said, life is short and precious... do not race with them on public road. Those who cucuk from behind may think it is fun, but if it the crashes into the front car, I believe they would somehow regret too. Wanna race and get to drive proactively? Join the HPC :)

Drive safe, ok? Cheers

From the website provided by Zul_84, even the Super Giulia 1.6 can only hit 175kph nia..

I think drag86 must been looking at a dual reading speedo with the internal MPH dial faded lio.. so he read MPH but looking at the bigger outer kph dial.. :D

Yeah, dont play play with Alfa Romeo. Simply any model also can race... they are from the racing breed of engine. So the next time you see an Alfa Romeo on the street, just let it pass :) unless you have a machine to match or even to beat its power (I know my E36 M43 cannot beat them).

Cheers
