E36 320 vanos use 318 gearbox

Just asking cos need to comfirm in above matter...can 320 vanos use 318 manual gearbox. & Can it's fit in with or without any mod and another question how about gear ratio. Anybody have try it before.Thanks in advance

besides m52 engines.. M42-M50, all gbox same same, gear ratio also same. all using Getrag S5D 200/250g.

all are overengineered.. rear diff varies accordingly.

hehe... jsen is right... same manual gearbox, so, no problem with the M50B20TU using the M43/M40 gearbox... just get the correct rear differential ratio...

no lar , i always want to use my manual g/b on a m50 engine .....
now looks like i can wait no longer .....

Better swap now and then convert to M50 or M52 halfcut. Or else difficult wor to rojak. Sumore not easy to find correct differential ratio. cabutzzzz
