folks, i mostly drive my car alone ie driver only and have checked my wheel alignment and the local shop says everything checks out against their computer database. now my tyre wear patter is like this: - both front tyres: more wear on the outer side treads - both rear tyre: just slightly more wear on the inner side treads is this about normal for a e34? btw what is the factory spec for camber, toe in/out & caster for both front & rear wheel?

dude i think u shud go to reliable alignment woksyop . or mebi ur front arm and bush worn out .
my car has similar prob, but only happens to rear left tyre . it worn out badly on the inner side . until now i got no idea whats the problem exectly since rear cambers were fixed and cant be adjusted ..
hmm

my E34 experiences excessive outer wear on front tyres. that's why i stopped using asymetric PS2, instead now on directional Eagle F1 - i can flip them over to wear the tyres evenly. btw, i check my wheel alignment regularly.

Bro, your tyre wear pattern quite similar to mine. I'm currently driving e32 730i, current tyres are Yokohama C Drive, shod more than a year back. Using E60 520i/25i 16" rims. Both my front tyres are quite bald especially on the outer side threads, whilst the rears are still in very good shape, i.e; loads of thread left.

Just done alignment and rotation of both tyres last weekend. Shall keep track of how fast the new fronts [ex-rear wheels] will wear off...

mine is worn out from the inner thread (both front tyre)..but, at the back, it is pretty normal...alignment for front tyre is -1 (left), -0.8 (right)..at the back, both tyre are 0,0..dunno whether this is correct setting or not..btw, the front spring is lowered..so, i guess that explain the -ve camber..

if i want to adjust the camber to 0,0 (for front tyre), that fella want to charge me RM60 per tyre..then, i said to him, forget about it!

i wish i can have your front tyre camber settings. it's neutral now, hence the excessive scrubbing of sidewall.

i think a slight outer wall wear on front tyre indicates to me either you are rather an agresive driver at the corners and a little more camber is useful. Or a little toe-out will make the car much more responsive at the corners. I would like my car to have a slight toe-out in front and toe-in at the rear.

But one problem! for E34, there is now adjustment for rear. the standard is rather neutral and always check the bushes and the small linkage as that determine the progressive camber and toe. Am not too sure how to deal with the positive camber in front. I think it has a lot to do with ride height as the the lower it goes, the more negative it gets.

Just my two bobs' worth
