yes, the M20B25 is a good town and outstation driving. It's just it needs a bit of extra TLC on the tuning.

a properly tuned m20b25 is enuff for a lot of poeple. important thing is, are you part of that 'a lot of people'? i'm not

thanks alot for your opinion. how much is m20b25 and m50b25 halfcut price nowadays?

getting less and expansive.

there is a few guys here are hoarding a few...

Bro...get M52B20 single vanos around 5K halfcut.....u can enjoy fully torque at all,heh..heh..

yeah... once you get the M52 engine and plug in... you have to Jaga what engine oil you're using... cause of the Nikesil coating around the cylinder bore...

Planning to get E30

I am on the market looking for an E30 to start a project. ya all think I should stick with BM or just RB25? is M20b25 sufficient for drifting? Anyways can someone help me list what engine is which code? Thanks...

Dude.. If You want to start an E30...
Please please don't put in a JDM Engine la....
There are a lot of choices for BMW Engine...
- M20
- M30
- M40 (4 Cylinder, If in between you want to save fuel for city drive..)
- M50 ( The Best For E30, VANOS BABY)

Well if that's not enough for you.. Add A Freaking Supercharger la...

if you're intending to do a drift project car, nissan's SR20DET may be a better choice. or if you have the budget.. Honda's S2000 's F20C would be nice too...
Good luck with your project...

i think m50 m/t is enough for you to drift,if still cannot drift that means human problem must ask xxx how to drift with e34.

m50 makes the front too heavy... not conducive for hardcore drift machine

wannna bet......??

XXX has drift my M50 heavy front -end......

ask yourself how important it is to you that your E30 remain a bonafide BMW.. if it is, go with the m20b25; if you just want plain effective automotive fun, put in a sweet and modern jap motor.

can drift.. just that for hard core drifting, a snail and a light front end comes in handy...

bro if u fancy the jz series u could drop by to have a better understanding about it....here....
http://www.bmwclubmalaysia.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26766

however if u are running e30 with japs 6 cyclinder it'll be pretty packed in the engine compartment.....or like fab suggested a sr20det or neo if there is any rear wheel drive that is or if budget permits.....get the f20c its a happy revving engine......do search in you tube about an e36 with f20c conversion.......if that interests you......:D

there's one mechanic told me. m42 is better thn m50 for e30 in term of weight distribution and better handling.
