e21 Urgent Advise Carb or Engine Prob?

Hi all I need help as I've almost given up on the car e21/320/6, problem as follows:-1. High Petrol Consumption Full Tank gets me 280km - Guzzler!!!2. Spark Plugs No 3, 5 & 6 - Carbon Build Up and Petrol Wet3. Strong Carbon Monoxide smell from the exhaustNotes:- Engine no knock, Engine Oil Remain Stable (No Reduction), No Black or White Smoke from the exhaust. What can be done, I have tried to tune up the Carb but nobody dare to touch in KL and Malacca, does the engine requires top overhaul and if yes how much can it cost? Please help now I am thinking of planting an e30 engine, however the car would lose on the originality!:stupid:

mine is transform to M20 from E30/320/6 injection before i bought the car. Less problem

i have no idea dude..the lady owner do the transplant and i'm the second owner. Its only inside the hood, no body know about it.

If the offer is not to my expectation, I'll top overhaul the engine (Grind Valve) and tune up the carb. I think that will solve the problem hopefully, apart from there the car is in excellent condition all original parts were fitted, the undercarriage parts were replaced parts were sourced from Walloth & Eng Soon SG. Interior is original with no cracks on dashboard it is auto 3 speed original gearbox. Comes with Ori BBS Basket weave rims with Ducaro tyres all round, bumper has been re-chromed car repainted white (Ori color) a few years back with cold a/c serviced by Naidu.

There is slight rust visible on the door which can be done.

I'll e-mail the pics of the car to anyone who is keen, if no takers at a good price will just keep the car do a top overhaul on the engine, in fact I am supposed to send the car for overhaul and carb tuning to my mechanic tomorrow afternoon.

I've sent it to Vasu, Ultimate and BMWorld, none dare to touch.

Now the car is in Malacca I have just sent the car to a mechanic just now for Top Overhaul and carb tuning, god willing successful.

Please advise on how to go about posting pics in the forum????

Carb problem... It's squirting too much fuel. can be worn out fuel jets. U'll need to look for carb specialist, those old timers with quirky temperament.. haha.. No point looking for the 'new gen' BMW mechanic, they aren't trained extensively with carb, so most won't dare to touch it..
