Pay booking, get loan approved, pay down payment, get car

Bro, meaning before car delivery, no need pay downpayment or sign loan agreement?

SA said need to do it first, is this correct?

Hi,

Yes...once you have paid the downpayment and signed the loan agreement [can be done concurrently], only then you can collect the car.

regards...

Bro, if I pay the downpayment and sign the loan agreement, but not satisfy with the car, what would happen to my money? I afraid this would happen to me, because SA is demanding the downpayment and loan agreement to be signed before to get the car

that's a normal condition.
They won't register the car to you as long as you don't pay downpayment and signed loan agreement.

Ask the SA to show you the car before hand for you to inspect before you place downpayment..... jot down the VIN so that u get back the exact car...

Normally thats the way it goes, when getting New Cars...not like Recon that you will see and check everything before paying DP / sign loan document. And somemore the F30 Waiting list damm long...so they get everything ready (DP and Loan Agreement duly signed) so that as soon as the car arrives they just get your car across to you...You just continue praying that car is in good condition...but note the fact that you cannot avoid the rusted seats...:smokin:

yea bro thanks for your advise, I will check the Vin number for sure..

Even if rusted seat not fixed, can still get it fixed later. If you car is ready for registration, then go inspect, else just pay your booking and wait till the car arrives. Meanwhile they will collect ur docs for loan approval, only pay the difference when your car has arrived and ready for registration. They'll register your car upon cheque clearance. Bout 2 days. If loan is approved, can sign the docs when collecting your keys...Nvr let them hold on to your money while you wait for your car. If you trading in your car is another diff story

I didn't trade in my car, my DP is bankdraft. SA told me to provide the DP and sign the loan agreement, but car haven't arrive,it will be settle within few days, which I would doubt on this, the dealer is glenmarie AB.

What worry me is SA can't deliver his promise and give me RUSTED SEATS

btw... where u getting your car.... anyway, normally what you can do is highlight all the issue you see in the car and inform them..... if they can rectify on the spot, they will rectify before you collect the car.... if they need to order the parts, you can send back to them when the parts arrive... no big issue... :) no worries about the complimentary rusted seats..... at least you know you bot a F30.... :D

Do not worry, there are procedures created to protect you. Your loan will only be released after you take delivery of your car. So, no worries about signing the loan. When you take delivery of your new car, you will be asked to sign on some paper/document. DO NOT blindly sign on them. One of it is the consent of taking delivery of your car and that you have inspect the car in good condition. So, its only proper that you inspect your car and only take delivery if you are satisfied with it.

Anyway, at this point, the car has already been registered to you. Any problem/issue found will be rectified and you'll still be taking 'that' particular car. I think there is no way to guarantee that you'll be taking delivery of the unit of your choice before registration. You'll have to work out with your sales assistant and have faith in him/her.

you can get the SA to bring you go see the particular car before registering the car with JPJ.... do the inspection then.... if you are satisfied, place the downpayment and sign the docs for registering.... if you are not, then get the SA to bring in another car.... thats what i did... :) normally the defects are quite small and can be rectified easily.... but things like the rusted seats being rectified before hand, i dont know..... all i did was to lodge the complain when i placed the downpayment to make the claim faster... :)

btw, possible, you can see their inventory with the VIN of the car, hopefully they would have more than one car with the choice you are looking for.... :)

Ya bro you are correct, they will bring in the car to the branch for me to inspect first, if I'm not satisfy, I ill get another batch, sound fair.

One question,so far I know, this car is jan 2013 made, is the rusted seat still there? Other than rusted seat issue, any other major problem you guys noticed? Such as rattling sound? Any issue relate to engine or gearbox? if it is only rusted then I might just claim warranty, because this is the ONLY sport variant left, other batch are luxury which will arrive this month, actually I can take this car this Saturday, due to my worries I had insisted SA to bring in the car to let me see. Before it register under my name.

How about software update? One of my friend highlight to me but I'm not quite understand.

Hi Davincci
Did your SA mention when will the new batch of Luxury line will arrive?
If I may ask, which dealer you went to?
Thanks
