makes sense now why u're in support of illegal workers...u like to hire them eh. better keep the numbers low man...i know a restaurant who was too dependent on these illegal workers and it was ruined overnite when all the staff & cooks included got caught by the immigration...then u'd be beggin the 'so-called local chef' to cook for u. illegal workers dont pay levy (about RM1.2k/yr) so u can pay them less, no medical check-up therefore not safe or qualified to handle our food, and they are basically 'nobody' in our country so are more prone to committing crimes. honestly i still prefer locals cooking and serving my food for hygiene reasons although its rare nowadays...

supply and demand... got people who want them... got people who are willing to pay greasy money, got people who are willing to accept greasy money. whatever it is, Malaysian wages are too low, especially on the lower skill side.... our GDP has grown quite well but salaries have been left behind quite a distance

For your information, I DO NOT LIKE HIRING ILLEGALS. I cook my food. My workers dont cook the food. they only help prepare. We put them together. I had a 'so-called local chef' to help my wife in the kitchen. We do our own things so it doesnt matter if we hire a chef or not or if hte fella want to tarik harga and fuck up my recipes. We dont tell them what we put innit. They jsut prepare like kopek bawang and cut vege.

My shop was also raided before by immigration for hiring illegals because they work harder. We did all the running and cooking the next day. A bit tiring but still managable. I DO NOT BEG MY SO-CALLED LOCAL CHEF to come back. Some friends came to help. Being too dependent on workers is the biggest mistake any restaurant will make if they are not careful. My advice......if u wanna open a restaurant, u must know how to cook. If not just forget about it. It will never work. Or have tons of money and open a franchise.

NOT ALL illegal workers do crimes. They are 'nobody' because u brand them nobody. Put urself in their shoes. They are just not as lucky as u driving around in a BMW using a laptop reading this in a Starbucks or air-conditioned office. They are here to earn a living.

What makes u think locals handling food are cleaner? Making foreign workers have a medical checkup is just an artificial reassurance. U think teh makcik at ur local warong cooking ur tomyam or nasi goreng kampung got jabs ar? Or the part-time waiter full time rempit serving u ur food got jabs before he went into the food industry? This is all just BS. Everybody is qualified to handle food not only locals. Go to a local chinese restaurant and go behind the kitchen and see. Preparing the vege with a cigarette in teh mouth on a plastic table next to the longkang full of rats. They are worse than the foreigners i have. I can vouch for that and if u dont believe me i can show u my neighbour when u come to my shop.

Im dissapointed at ur point of view of this matter. We are not any better off at all. We jsut happen to be lucky enuff not to be born in their country. None of them ask for this to happen. So get ur facts right and come out of ur shell before u belittle someone else.
