Hi All,Need advice from all of you beemer experts out there.Im planning to buy an E90 320 brand new.Auto Bavaria is giving out 5% discounts for all their 07 cars, as they want to clear off their stocks. Is it wise to buy a 07 car make, with a discount of 11k ++ compared to a 08 car? Will i lose much? i mean im not planning to sell the car in 3 years time, and i get a new car with discounts somemore. and do you think i should buy a brand new E90 320 or a second hand 325 (2005)?please help to clear off my mind, cannot sleep for one week already thinking about this. :)thanks and cheers.

Sparkle it would be nice of you to go the newbie section and introduce your self before you start asking question. Thank you.

Sparkle, I would opt for the 07 model with discount. I don't think there is anything special on the 08 model.

HI Sparkle,

Welcome to BMW CLub Msia.

Is it pre-registered or unregistered?

If its unregistered then its worthwhile getting the 07 cars. Unless you planned to wait for the E90 LCI edition. :)

It all depends

2007 or 2008... I believe the offer is either 5% discount or the lower interest rate of 1.78%. You don't get both.... so, if you are not buying it with cash, the higher interest rate would wipe out the discount... there is usually no free lunch.... so if you buy the pre-reg 2007 and you decide to sell it later, nobody gives you a higher price for a Dec 2007 car, it will be a 2007 car and you will have to reduce your car price by at least RM10k (if you sell it after 5 years)... if not it will be higher.... so, if you are taking financing, wait for the 2008 car ... that is my two cents worth... I was at the AB and they even offer me additional RM5k for being loyal to their service center.... actually I find E46 318i a better car than the E90 320...

I agree with youngdm's reasoning. I too had waited for the 2007 E92 despite 2006 variants being available ex-stock. Thank goodness, the 2007 version came in 6 weeks cos I took a car AB had pre-ordered for their showroom and said showroom went under renovation at that point in time. However, if I have to choose between a 320i and 325i, I go for the latter in a heartbeat!

heheheheheheh......

anyways, the 325 05 is a good car.......

second hand car also okay what......

Now the E90 has "mustard" color like the E60 lio.. :D Looks good for the Highline series with the blacklines..

Aiyaa... lan-pa-pa-lan wan.. Look at it this way, u either get a brand new near 1 year old zero mileage car at 11k discount now, get it pre-reg for another 5k discount if u r not particular of personalise plate, compare to a brand new 0 year old 0 mileage car next year at full price. Both also gives u 3 years BSRI.

Correctly mentioned by youngdm, nobody is going to pay u more for being a December 2007 car but hey! don't forget u got it at 11k discount also ma. Lan-pa-pa-lan.. :D and if u understand Future Value of Money, u r better off saving the 11k today than being able to sell 11k more in 5 years time.. :D

Don't forget your existing ride meant for trade in also would depreciate..

Unless suddenly govt declare AFTA...

i think he's more concern on the resale value than features

Yup. Yet again, I can see astroboy's point that since sparkle doesn't intend to sell the car for 5 years, it might be OK to take advantage of the RM11k discount now, heh!

And tat's why I say go for 07 model with discount!

I agree, 07 pre-reg sounds like a good decision, you have to factor in that your current ride's value will also depreciate come January 08

Unless...... 08 model is heavily face lifted like the E46 pre and post 2002 model. Then I surely go for the LCI model.. :D

and nobody can guarantee there's a tomorrow.. so I am not waiting for another day to express my affection..

anyone knows how much is the m-sport version? new or used does not matter. and does naza have the m-sport version in their showroom?

thanks for the replies guys... and finally bought the 07 new car oredi, not pre-reg. They said the 08 car, the earliest i can get is early Feb or after CNY. Cant wait for that long hehe, plus im not planning to sell my car yet, so better take the discount first. Later can think about the resale value. Plus they free me v-kool and diamond brite. Never done any research on diamond brite yet, dunno how good it is. Anybody using diamond brite?

Bought mine less than 2 weeks ago, apa kool apa brite pun tarak.. :(

Congratulation! :top:

Just realised the C-Class is only a small fraction more than E90 and for 1.8L Kompressor, its punching 153hp but UDM still rocks!

Don't like their external door low positioning shoulder line..
Don't like their squarish steering.. and the multi function buttons are like PS2 :stupid:
Don't like their seat design..
Don't like their out of proportion rear design..
Don't like their squarish headlights..
Don't like their Honda City liked rear lights..
Don't like their dashboard lines.. worst than JDM !!
Don't even like any of their range of sport rim design..

Why none of the SLR look is brought over? :stupid:

Looks like they are back to their retro squarish style.. :stupid: :stupid: :stupid:
