Hi every sifu, just to get some advices from u that im interested in 5 series & planning to have one very soon.went to car dealers there view some E60 & get to know there is different btw hiline & m-sport. m-sport much more expensive... my budet is around 250k for E60. Any advices wether get the Hiline / M-sport. Why???any good dealers from Penang to recommend ???thanks a lot.

Hi-line is just accessories, like wood trim etc.

MSport is for performance where suspension and anti roll bar is totally different from the Hi-line. That's why price too very different.. :D

ohhhhh..mean hi-Line is only for accessories fitted...M-sport for engine performance like horsepower, torque etc...

if budget 250k, what shall i prefer ???

tq

Engine is the same.. :p hp and torque is also the same.

For the 3-series, the MSport comes with MSport seat with inflatable waist support, stiffer anti roll bar, lowered and stiffer spring, stiffer absorber, fatter steering and the unique MSport cabin trim and door sills. Of course, the full sport bodykit.

For 5-series, MSport is the 525i that has all the above. Hi-line is pretty standard right?! Better for u to check out both cars. Make sure if u choose an MSport, all the MSport parts should still be intact and not swap out by irresponsible dealer.

ok. thanks.

Any good dealers to recommend in Penang / Seberang Perai ???
He he he...Im from Penang la

hi bro, i have a company car for sell actually, i'm in bayan baru. actually this car is used by my another director.

e60, 530i, if u interested let me know, i email you the photo together.

year manufacture 2004, register 2006. import new.

I am quite confuse with the term Hi-Line, as far as I know there is no such model classification under BMW. Is this term invented by parallel importers?

There was a hi-line in 2007 for the E90 and before that, there's SE, so called Special Edition for the E90 320i.

The Hi-line E90 comes with rear screen, front PDC, wood trim, chrome tail pipe and black lines tail light for an extra few thousand RM.

I took the non Hi-line, end up with only rear PDC, no window screen, no vanity mirror light, no rear reading lights, no footwell lights and no chrome tail pipe.

for RM260k can i get the 525i M-sport 2006 (japan spec) ???
any ideas on getting recond or used car from Auto Bavaria ???

Appreciate...

Louis

Im doing sales & will be driving a lot le....530 too heavy for me in term of fuel consumption la

really....im currently using new Camry 2.0. average town use only 550 full tank (RM110).
is 530 really that save fuel ???

the 530 variant is the most fuel efficient 5 series (petrol engine)...at least for e39 and e60 generation...if u wan super fc then the 520d will be a good buy...power and fc all in one...

the main equation in the final FC is the driver...how u drive affects the fc greatly...dun belif see the video below...

true on what t2ribena said - at the end of the day your driving style is the main determinant on whether u clock up 400+ vs. 500+ for city driving on the 530i. i'm quite light footed... one thing for sure is stop move stop move and sudden power down takes up A LOT of fuel...so be very light on your foot when we do that...

525 m-sport 2007 unregistered for RM295k !!!!s it the good price ???
any difference in horsepower btw M-sport & highline...

i think there aren't any mods or tuning on the engine for m-sport E60 models. Only body kits, steering wheel, rims and suspension...

not sure about what they do with hi line...i'm not sure either such "hi line" thing is part of BMW offering in Japan, it is probably created by local importers... :)

Ah... I beg to differ :D who said that there are no mods or tuning on the engine for M-Sport??? It boils down to whether you have the heart and $$$ to do so :top:
You can always do:
1) ECU re-map (+-10% increase in hp)
2) Sprint booster for better pick-up
3) Pulley (available for M54 engine but not sure about N52.. anyone can confirm?) +-10% in hp
4) quad exhaust (various brands such as Remus,Hamann, etc...) - back pressure reduction
5) Gruppe M or BMC Carbon Fibre Air Filter (better pickup and sounds good too!)
6) exhaust manifold... not sure about the price though :D

And if you have the extra $$$ (as in $$$ is not an object)... u can always go for supercharger!!! Apparently, you supercharge your car with G-Power (check out with Imola Motorsport in Ampang)... can cost a bomb! Not sure if there's anyone who actually do that though
