Diamond Shaped remote key (what to press?)

Im new and i dont understand how to use the diamond shape remote. It consists of three buttons: 1) to open boot 2) the BMW logo 3) =>I somehow dont understand how 2) and 3) work even after reading the manual.May I know how the sifus here lock their car?May i know if u manually put the key into the door and turn it?Can the sifus explain in the simplest way of how 2) and 3) work?My apologies for asking such a noob question. This is my first conti car btw

the bmw logo if u press it...then ur car is lock.... the 3) is for unlock ur car...

I see but it seems that after pressing the logo, i cant unlock the car.

So, if u press the logo, you will unlock it by pressing =>?

2) is the logo: press 1 time is for lock, after lock press again will on the interior lights. if the power windows are opened then press and hold it and it will close all the power windows. If your car in comfort mode, then press 1 time is unlock driver's side door, press another time will unlock another doors
3) unlock: press 1 time for unlock. Press and hold will open all power windows.

open and close all power windows and comfort mode need to depend on the setting of the car.

Thanks to all! I think i have a better understanding of its mechanism. Will not try the opening/closing of power windows as i'd just tinted my car. Will stick to unlocking doors for these two days but thanks very much for the infos!

Just a quick one. Lets say i press 2) to lock then 3 hours later, i'd forgotten that i pressed the logo. So, i proceed pressing 3). Will this unlock my car?

and it seems that all of you dont manually lock the driver's door buy inserting the key in it?

yes, that's how it's supposed to be used. Press 2 when you want to lock. When ever you get back to the car press 3.

I've had the car for many years now. Not once have I locked the car by inserting the key on the door

As i mentioned 2 is the logo. Logo is for lock 3 is for unlock. U press 3 for sure it will unlock. Until today i only inserted the key to the lock for testing the new spare key and test for the boot lock.

wow..nice info..i duno my key inserted and it will charge by itself...

I juz realize that my key can lock / unlock the fuel filler lid. How to do that ?

The fuel lid is unlocked whenever the driver's door is unlocked

I thought button 3 is to release the trunk ? If you press the logo twice in quick succession, it will disable the interior sensor for the alarm, mine is kinda sensitive so I always press twice.

But this is only applicable for the car which got alarm, normally this is for UK spec.
