Diagnostic Software/Tools

Hello all,

I just got myself a handy OBDlink MX Wifi dongle (http://www.scantool.net) to interface via the OBD port.
Looking at software options to interface into the ECU and look at the diagnostics and stuff like resetting errors.

Any recommendation on software to use ? (I've heard of Bavarian Technic)

#include disclaimer.h - stuff that i plan to do, i am aware of the warranty implications

Just asking.. when you buy the hardware from them, did it not comes with the software?

It seem like you buy a laptop without the operating system..

Thank you. Yes i did get a software, but its more of dashboard kinda stuff.
Looking for more serious stuff. Do PM me if you know where i can find it.

Sorry.. Dont have lar.. I am more of an INPA fan rather than ELM wifi module.

ELM is suitable for generic application whereas INPA is first used by BMW and later modified by others.

BTW, what type of serious stuff are you planning to do?

Dont think you can do much with a generic tool like that....most specialised bmw scanners/coding equipment comes with their own cables and are not cheap
