Just wondering ... how difficult will it be to extract say another 30-40WHP out of the e90 325? Is it financially realistic to get that much without any forced induction? With a remap I am informed you can only get no more than 20 ponies, a new air intake will give about 5 ponies max. New plugs ... 1 pony. Thanks!

Doesn't meant you have to do it all at the same time....there's no rush, slowly find the parts that suits your pocket and yes like aoch88 said, NA engine will cost u a lot more to churn out more HP compare to FI engine...
A quick solution is to install NOS system which will give u bang for buck...instant HP that cost lesser than I mentioned earlier but ur engine gonna spoilt on long term usage...

i would be vary of anybody you says they can get 5hp from just the air filter change.
when i did mine, i bought a pipercross and k&N and after each swap i went to the dyno.
i got 1-2 hp difference. and that can easily be attributed to a million other factors.
biggest burn i got was when i was sold Hiop headers which the seller claimed could do 15bhp.
total rubbish. got the same 1-2hp. and that was 5k for the headers.
if you want to go fast, buy a faster car. modding is hard and expensive for na's, turbos on the other hand....

Slide ... that is what I suspected ... guess it DOES NOT make financial sense to even try and get a mere 30HP out if the N52. A 335 would be a good solution huh? LOL!
rx8 ... naaaah, wanna keep her in NA form as stated. Then upon reading up more, the N52 is a magnesium block, not that hardy. If can a Rotrex would be a great option to take, their unit has wonderful results. But then ... loadsa money need to be spent.

Mr Singh, you are correct. Not worth the investment. Maybe the 135 for a fun weekend car ... looking at something like that. But I have to say a Boxster is also most tempting.

What colour would you advice me to get those undies in? Better for bikini cut, jock strap style or just the plain old uncle one is best?
