Cracking sound from E60 dashboard

My 2005/6 E60 has an intermittent cracking sound from the dashboard area even when travelling on a highway and over small bumps. The sound is like pebbles hitting the windscreen. Has anyone experienced this?

Since the day i bought the car and it has never failed to go away.

AB claims its "normal" but to them retards, every sound is normal.

Sapura cant seem to replicate the sound to diagnose.

But mine comes up with i go over uneven bumps. Sort of when you're are going down or up a carpark ramp sideways where 1 tire is up the ramp before the other one.

Thanks K3nny for your comments. My dashboard used to creak when going over bumps as you mentioned. This was because the dashboard flexed. The AB Glenmarie branch solved most of the creaking sound by putting foam/tape on on the A-pillars. However, the sound I still have is this occasional cracking sound - I'm still not sure what is causing this as the sound comes even on the highway and over small bumps.
