Common Problems with 5 Series E39's

I was just wondering what some common problems are as I may be looking to purchase one in the near future and will really need to look around for a good deal.

Common problem no 2: After you buy a used one at RM30-40k (which is a lot of car for the money), you just can't justify buying a brand new Japanese car for RM160k. They're just not good enough... Heh heh ...

common problem #3:
when the pixels on the instrument cluster says "you are belong to me" instead of "fasten seat belts"....you will frantically want to find Haywire to fix it for you afterwhich you will be extremely satisfied that you would want to keep the car for handing over to you grandchildren....

Common problem # 4..... leak from high pressure power steering hoses.

Common problem # 5... spare some money.... maybe around RM10k to make the 5ser... feel like driving a BMW again... mostly use car dealer cars just so-so... janji lepas puspakom inspections aje... if you get lemon.... RM10k pun not enough...
