Well... my current ride's an e46 coupe, and previously i had the e46 318 sedan, the e34 535 and the e30 318(m) sedan..

itchified to check out cabs... is the maintenance really not worth it?

Well not the maintenance per se, the compromises of a soft-top. Imho its not worth it esp in Malaysia.

I meant a hardtop coupe or sedan 330i. If you're tired of the E46...have you looked at an E90?

Omega, you've plenty of options for your budget. i'm sure KL2DC would recommend an e90 325 as an option...:), but do try out e46 330i sedan if you've a chance, you'll enjoy the extra power and sweet sound of the engine!

ahhh... the glorious sweet potter..

Hehehe :D .. KL2DC knows i have a wee bit aversion to the e90.. maybe with the exception of the new 335ci... now, that i want...... in maybe 10 years time...:(

ello why not an e46 M3?? that you can keep forever until you old and ppl will still go.... ooooooooo look at that M\\\ yum!

think again, unreg car can do some magic and make it downpayment lowest. well, i assumed your choice not unreg. However, with different just 15k (i assumed yours one 275k) I prefer an e60 with 2003 and now you can find it 285k in the market.

Omega, one drive in a 335i E90 and its' game over. Guranteed :D The N54 engine is awesome!!

:) that's it, no more e90 talk for you..sorry KL2DC. let's come back to your original dilemma. if you're thinking about the rims, try to switch them if both cars are from the same dealer, if not, well, can always buy them later. foldable mirrors, not really a big deal after a while. reverse sensor, could be useful. tires, ps2 and so3 - both are superior performance tires with slight price diff. conclusion: just follow your heart man.

But if you must go with the cab....

Are the cars at the same dealer? Why don't you ask the dealer to sawp all the goodie parts onto the UK spec car and call it a day :D It's a buyers market right?

That's the unfortunate part, both cars are at different dealership...
I've already successfully requested for the AC Type to be swapped from another e46 352ci cab to the 330ci cab... going for the UK specs, i'll be missing out on the rest of the yummies available on the japan spec'd

thanks bro... your earlier advise really stuck to me.
e46 M3? too expansive for now...

btw guys, the prices are now 230k for the UK specs (asking 275k)
asking less than 220k for the japan spec... expensive?

those items can be fitted, 'm glad it didn't take long for you to decide...we can't get everything in life, look at the bright side, you'll end up with a newer machine with reverse sensor and AC rims etc etc..that you've missed out if you'd decided to go with the jap's. don't forget to upload lots and lots of pics for the benefit of the forumers..:)

Wow the price went down fast...and I assume, this is before heavy negotiations?

I sense that the M bits are of great value for you, Safri is right, I'd go with what you like best. At the end of the day, you're the one making the payments and driving the car. Both cars are cool....

Just make sure of the basics i.e. maintenance, mileage, MY and accident history.

both the cars are unreg... and yup, they can do magic with it...
e60 530 at 285k? they are advertising the e60 525 japan std spec at 315k, msport spec at 395k... i bet KL2DC is laughing now at the absurd prices of UDMs in M'sia... :D

LOL.... i'll be damned... hahaha.. how i know that to be true...
like most of us, i read your review.... how unfortunate for the rest of us...
but the prices are gonna be sky high for a long time to come.. unless i'm stateside?

thanks bro... will take a few days to decide and let the initial rush settle down so that we can all make an informed decision... let's see;

1. How much does a AC Type V costs? maybe 18k to 20k
2. The foldable wing mirrors? maybe 6k?
3. The xenon headlights?
4. The reverse sensor?
5. others?

wow, trully buyer's market at its best...imo, both dealers are in a difficult position - they can't afford to ignore your requests, try to maximise the opportunity as much as you can. can always try 'hard to get' tactic and see whether they'll finally succumb to your take it or leave it quote..All the best!

ORI prices should probably be around your quotes. reverse sensor around RM2.5-3K, not to sure about xenon's, possibly more than RM5k.

ah.... then a calculated decision can be made... lemme start on the worksheet... kekeke... accountant inside awake now...

bro...either ways..both of em are sweet rides im sure :D

get the M3!!!!!!

:D
