Car will not start

Hi experts,i own a 2000 e46 318ci (jpn spec). the car has done about 80k kms. in the last 6 months, ive only driven the car less than 10 times. 2 weeks ago i started the car and moved it forward as i was doing some renovation work to my house. the next day, the car could not start. it sounded like a flat battery but the engine was not cranking. i tried jump starting the car but nothing happened. each time i try to start the car there is a tick tick sound and the engine does not crank and the front headlights comes on. on top of that, there are some weird electronic noises that seems to come from the meter panel. anyone has had the same experience or has some advise?

Happen to me before. My car is year 2000. Battery needs to be change. Buy a new battery and your car should start as normal. Ask a mechanic to test your current battery to see if its dead. My problem was the same, tick tick tick..headlights blinking.

im driving a jap spec too..
year 2000 6 cyl..
i couldn't start my car too when i first got my car..
when to my mech n it is the camshaft censor n the inlet censor prob..
but my car the head lights are not blinking..
so i think bro wei siong should be the similiar case with u..

Recharge the battery for at last 4 hours ......and battery power shud be back to normal provided your battery is less than 15 months old.

......otherwisesmile....$$$$$$$$$$$$$$..RM240 for a new DIN 66 battery.

Car will not start

hey guys,

changed the battery this afternoon and all is good!! according to mechanic the car did not start when i tried to jump start bcos the battery plates somehow disconnected itself.

btw, thinking of changing the front bumper to the m3 type but ive seen a few on the road which looks good and some just looks not quite right.

i know there are many guys who can do it as shown in motor trader but is there any specific that is right for this job?

I also expreience engine stop after speeding & came to trafiic light engine dead suddenly
after that can restart but rpm show not stable change fuel pump seem ok but still rpm
sometime not stable also but engine not dead

It happened to a friend's of mine as well, but after he started to shift his auto gear level up and down, the car roared into action again...Just wondering whether is there any sensor gone KIPUT???

Dear Gents,

Did a diagnose test on my E46, 2000 328ci as its been very sluggish and heavy. Full throttle also the car doesnt seem to response, found out its the camshaft censor kaput. Any idea how much it will cost to change a new one?
