hi there , been a long time since i last posted anything here.I greatly appreaciate any fellow beemers opinion / advise regarding this.Am about ot renew my road tax and insurance for my beemer e46 316iSE manual year 2001 , last year i insured it for 90k, this time around ( I've searched other sites , it seems the same year model of automatic make 318i prices are around 76k to 85k ) i havent come to a figure yet , the insurance reminder quoted me a price for 90k !! ) any of you guys canhelp me out where to actually get a figure as to not underprice or overinsured the car ?all views are very much appreciated, tq

Sum assured = market price minus 3K to 5K

Etiqa have their own price...must follow cannot under insured but forsure over 10k++ from marker price..AIG best but below 30 of age need to pay excess around 10% if I not mistaken.

at 55% NCD (MAX)

Etiqa 100k insurans around 1.35k
AIG 80k insurans around 1.6k
Jernih 80k insurans around 1.3k

choose the one that fast in disburse claims. Not the cheap one that asked workshop to reuse the parts that can be safe. hehehhe...AIG quite good the adjuster will allow the workshop to change all damaged parts.

i think u should cover same with the loan balance/market value which is higher...

thanks guys for all the info and advice,
my previous insurance was etiqa , nothing really great then but i was offered a 10% offer discount as i took the etiqa takaful scheme as well.
now , my options are open , lost likely will stick to etiqa , with comprehensive and windshield cover and NCD 45% , i have no outstanding car loan as I bought it cash while i was in uk 2005 , and it has been with me ever since.Only the maintainence for wear and tear parts , done at a local bimmer specialist here.
Thank you turbology for the invite , I most certainly will take up the offer and join your TT session within Muar , if there are no sudden emergencies in the hospital. Cant really predict when these things happen , and especially so when the public expectation is very high nowadays.I have until the 6th before my insurance expires on the 7th June , .
Please keep me updated as i just might be able to join you guys/gals.Tq again.
