car can crank but cant run...

hye sifu n frens..rite now my car can crank but it cant run..i bought bmw scanner 1.4 already but since it cant start i cant get it connected..so rite nw i suspect either crankshaft or camshaft sensor..but in the mean time i oso get confused between this to item..some said camshaft hav 2 sensor intake n exhaust..so in ur guys opinion which i shud change first to get my car running again..here i attached pics of crank n cam shaft sensor juz not to get confuse..crankshaft sensorView attachment 30443camshaft sensorView attachment 30442

what do you mean it cant start and you cant get the scanner connected? no need to start the car to scan la....just put the key at position 2 and scan the car.

1. m52 got inlet camshaft sensor only.m54 got both inlet and exhaust

Thanxs bro.Sory newbie here. Rite nw im using 16pin cable n maybe ive to use 20 pin adapter to run the diagnose.

Thanxs moots. So its mostly bcoz of the crankshaft sensor but i'll try to run my reader using 20 pin adapter to scan first. I get quoted for crankshaft sensor from innerpower rm 225 but its not ori n its from german. Issit ok for the price?

i got mine for rm205 siemens brand from bav auto last year.
the camshaft sensor i got for rm197 osso siemens bav auto.
