If you use an absorber that is design for a heavier engine (car), chances are the car will feel a little "skippy" on uneven roads, due to lesser compression on the absorbers. Suspension development takes into account the weight of the engine, that's why 4 pot and 6 pot springs and absorbers are different. Can you use it? Yes, definitely but it won't be the optimum setup.
