Can any sifu recomand any brand of the brake pad (front) to me coz i m going to change it by this weekend. Of course it must be better in quality and value for money :D . And also how much is the rear brake pump???Thanks!!! ;)

a few brands for you to consider

1) jurid
2) ate
3) texstar

based on my experience, i m happy with Jurid but get the class A version. Textstar is not bad idea.

for rear drum, not too sure. it won't cost u much to replace the drum shoe.

I'm using Metal King bought from the parts shop in SEA park.. shud be near ur place, Prince... Previously using DON, not bad too for less than RM100 for the front....

I serviced my brake calipers (changed the oil seal and o-ring) and the brakes are better and a lot less brake dust as well....

don't think you guys get the idea of putting better brake pads for your car......

you think better or expensive pads are for racing?
what's your average speed? 80 kmph? well ok so is mine.....but better pads can stop car faster and in shorter distance
can you ensure the "cheaper" pads won't eat/destroy/scrap/glaze/warp/...and all of the other detrimental effects on your knickers......

lastly but not least, better expensive pads last longer,.... so you don't have to run to toilet when you have a leak or if its overflowed........

yes, good brake pads are good for braking. but not to the extend of using much more expensive ones... but of cos don't settle for cheapo ones oso lah.... then again, there isn't any real cheapo brands for the BMW pads..

I used the so-called cheapo DON pads but my brakes are OK even in Sepang.. Braking performance is better than the normal JURID which i have used prior to DON. FYI, JURID is more expensive than DON...

Thanx for ur insightful comments & right u r tJ, however with all due respect to your view, some of us hav to work with a budget.
Much as I who agree with u on safety being priority, I also giv consideration to value & unless we can get actual independent comparison test reports between JURID, DON, TEXSTAR, ATE, PAGID & whateverelse brand, it's difficult to justify the cost & overweight our judgemt in favor of PAGID based hitherto just on anecdotal considerations...but heck, I'm no expert & perhaps u kno better & hv access to independent test reports?
Thanx again for sharing, dude. :D
