M-technic tampoi, went there once wanted to do oil change, those buggers aaaahhh mau tak mau aja, tak mau sudah . A simple thing to do also give 1001 excuses.

Do call him 1st to make an appointment because sometimes he goes to KL to fix some cars. He's a trusted mechanic, former Performance Motors Mechanic and ALFA/FIAT/MASERATI mechanic. He's also good at other continental cars such as VOLVO, MERC., Peugueot etc. Don't be surprise to see some M'sian cars at his workshop if ur there. Labour charges from him are appropriate (no throat slasher type) trust me. k:

yup, i also agree with u. i've been there once, and it's the first n the last. the people are not friendly and they seem to be "under-pressure" when working with cars. lots of excuses n even curses! as if u force them to work...

those who've been with Top Power, just stick with them.

Hi,

I would like to tell you about my expereince with Vincent at Top Power at Taman Iskandar. I had been using him for all my ad-hoc repairs and till recently had no complaints.

Since fe months back , he is trying to pull a fast one and try and con customer.
I have seen he totally bullshiting to customer who does not much about cars.
My recent expreience was with my aircon where the gas leaks off. He said that my cooling coil needs replacement and tried and puch me to replace it and he will charge me 1k plus for it. I checked with an aircon shop and he changed my o-ring and prolem solved until today

Second instance a month ago, I had error message Oil Level sensor. He said i need to replced my oil level sensor and it will cost 1,000 MYR!!!!
I bought the part from eng soon and got it replaced in KL and the cost of the part is only about 350

On my last trip, when i was there was a few malay udn getting thier car checks and Vincent was trying ketuk them to the maximum.


Last week i checked out BM Autogarage at Permas Jaya . Sanjeev is agood honest bloke. Coinceindentally, I met the two malay udm owners and they are all compaining how Vincent bullshit and rip them off.

Vincent was ok but his charcther has changed and he is greedy, so guys watch out when you go there. Get a second opinion. He is getting the reputation of M Power ( Nathan) in JB now

Yup I can say most of BMW specialist workshop in JB are full of craps.
Now also sent my 2 cars at BM AutoGarage in Permas. At least now JB got reliable & honest mech & hope he stay that way. Highly recommended:top:

Do join as official member of BMWClubMalaysia. We dont have any TT in JB for BMWClubMalaysia. Maybe if enuff numbers can consider one. JB Bimmers Club is different entity. They having TT every 2 weeks on Fri nite. I seldom come due to busy & tired of personal interest & politiking:smokin:

Hi I would like to share my lousy experience with Vincent at Top Power at Taman Iskandar too. Last week I sent my e36 for servicing and transmission oil change and immediately after that my transmission leaks badly. Later I went back to Top Power and by chance found out from his mechanic he is using non original BMW engine oil and local low grade Transmission oil but charge a hefty sum for the job. The transmission oil he used is a normal grade Rixx ATF fluid instead of the original ZF semi synthetic transmission fluid that I want. I paid RM480 for the transmission oil change and when I check with BM Auto Garage of Permas Jaya, the original ZF oil change cost is lower than that. I went back to look for Vincent to help me to solve the leaking problem but he just shouted that my car is too old and tell me to leave.
I wrote here not only to vent my frustrations and more importantly to warn the rest about this cunning,greedy and dishonest guy.
Not forget to mention that he changed parts without consulting me. He replaced a fan belt and alternator belts and charged RM250, not sure if I am overcharge or not as I did not ask around. In total I paid about RM900 for a normal servicing, not origina low grade Auto transmission oil and 2 belts change (without my consent).
Initially he will behave very helpful and friendly but when he gain your trust. he will cut your throat. Just be careful when you visit him.

hey man, yea Tan does alot of Benz.. but BMW is not a problem too... a dad's friend brought his e46 325ci for a service, and he was very satisfied with the service + price.
