hi, thanks for the chart. I'm quite a dummy in this and I've tried googling but couldn't get the right keyword in the search, however, I'm assuming that the Z4 17" will fit into the e90? since they both have the same PCD, Offset and Centerbore? - "5×120 35 to 45 72.6"

Sorry I just want a double confirm, coz I'm paying for it already and don't wish to refund and etc :)

Hmm thanks bro for helping, but looking at your chart, it seems that the offset for both rims doesn't fit well. According to your first chart, both Z4 and e90 seems to have the same fittings but the 2nd chart however showed quite a gap. this is from my understanding from the 2nd chart:

e90 - 8 x 17 24 225/45 R 17 (same for front and rear)
Z4 - 8 x 17 47 225/45 R 17 (same for front and rear)

it shows me that the offset for both are 24 and 47, which is quite different...... as to compare to your first chart which shows me the same fittings.. :( a bit confused here..

The Z4 rim is Style-103, width 8J and offset 47.

It seems that the wheel will sit more toward the hub if u are not plan use with spacer.

I reckon it can use but not nice la..

Any e90 sifu can confirm?

hey, thanks for replying. I know it can fit in well into the e90, just worried with the Z4 rims, i'll lost the driving comfort on the e90, also worry it'll spoil the wheel bearing in long run..

any sifu with any advise? appreciate it, thanks.

an easier question here, will the Z4 ET47 offset fit into my car? am not planning to use any spacers...

i'm currently using a 7x16 205/55 - ET 34 and im driving comfortably now, will I get the same comfort having the E47?

i think the ride will be compromise somewhat since the rim sits inwards, plus it wont look good coz the tyre walls will probably not flush with the fenders..

i'd consider getting the right rims with the rights offsets so you wont have any problems in the future..

thanks bro for your advise, i'll re-consider on the E47 rims again then... anyway, since im currently using the ET34, what would you recommend me to change to? (what highest ET can i go for to get the same comfort)?

also, a friend of mine said regardless what size the rims are (17/18/19) it doesn't matter much as long as the ET is in the right fit, is that a true statement?

How to understand offset is that the higher the number of the offset of the rims, means the more the rims are sitting inside your car. If you look straight from the front, you will see that the rims are not flushed with the body of the car. A lot of people tend to just look at the PCD size but when they fit the rims with the wrong offset (I experienced this with my VW, e.g. putting an offset 35 on a car that is meant to have a max offset of 40), the rims don't look nice. For example, if you put a rims with offset 30 on a 3 series (the 3-series has a recommended 35-45 based on the chart on the 1st page) you will notice that the rims are jutting out of the car. This will pose a problem especially if you have lowered springs and the moment you do a hard corner, the tyres will rub against your car's fender.

Thanks Mavik for replying. So can I know what is the best (or most recommended) rims offset for a 3 series e90? as you can see from the picture attached, my current rims are ET 34 (16" though)... and I think its a good fit, so by this, does it mean I should get a rims with offset ET 34 too? I'm looking to get a rims soon, would be great if you can recommend me the right offset range.

also, from your statement, do you mean the size of the rims (whether is it 16, 17 or 18) doesn't matter much as long as I get the right rims offset and that will guarantee me a comfort drive?

thanks alot!!

Thats what Mavik is saying!

although the e90 and the M3 are somewhat similar, i had the rims plugged in and it was a perfect fit, only for the rear, which tend to rub the fenders when it bounces. It started to happen too often, so i rolled the fender, and now the ride, comfort and stance is purrrrfect..:D

If your rims are originally ET34 but you want to get a set of rims with offset 47 then it might not look good on your car. Because the rims might be hidden too much inside the wheel arches.
