How do you rate your overall E90 ownership experience? Note: Very satisfied - Hardly gives any problem. Reliability as close as Japanese makes. No plans to sell the car. Satisfied - Only experience minor problems. Most of the problems can be solved easily. Never encounter problems that cannot be solved. Never experience any major problems. Somehow satisfied - Experienced both minor and major problems. Managed to find solution to these problems. Dissatisfied - Experienced both minor and major problems. Unable to solve these problems, or the problems keep on repeating. Very dissatisfied - Experienced both minor and major problems up to the point of becoming a slave to the car. No more BMWs after this. Enough is enough.

Bro why rate the cars only the owners need to be survey too.

From my experience people seem to lose interest if there's too many questions in a survey. It's better just get straight to the point.

As you would have noticed, the models included in the surveys are the E46, E39, E90 and E60. E28, , E34, E38, E65 and the rest are not included. The four models represents the most popular car in our forum. I am expecting a big number of participation because we have a large pool of car owners using those models. Hence, the accuracy of the survey would increase. The models selected also represents the transition period between pre-Bangle and post-Bangle era. BMW claimed that since Bangle took over, their sales increased dramatically. What is good on paper does not mean it is also good owning it. Not a single car magazine wants to talk about this or have the chance to talk about it because they are having the car for only a few days. This survey can also determine whether people really love Bangle designed cars because it has good looks or because the car is really good. Bangle designed cars have been long enough in the market to be included in this survey. Of course, there are pros and cons when it comes to model selection. Ultimately, we want to be happy especially after purchasing a car that can cost more than a house. I am hoping that, with all the data collected we can narrow down the models in order to identify which car has the most unhappy owners and as a club we hope to find a solution to the underlying issues.

But the survey is heavilly weighted on reliability only based on the criteria explaination. Ferraris and Porsches may not do too well either heh.

It's just a simple survey regarding how happy you are with your current ride. It's the ultimate "bottom line" issue. That's all. I don't like beating around the bush. About the ferraris and Porsches, it is still about the same thing. It's about how you feel at the end of the day. So, please be frank. That's why the note is there to help you. There's no hidden agenda

For a 4 month old E90 ownership experience, I give it a "SATISFIED" because the car is okay except a leaky power steering pump which I think its minor and I don't think unable to solve, mind u its only 4 months old.. :(

I am checking my power steering fluid level every week.. for such a new car. What a bummer bimmer.. so far no top up is necessary..

Sorry funfer_fahrer, but I would even disagree with E46F that it's heavily weighted on reliability. It's not heavily weighted towards, it's ENTIRELY about reliability and problems and fixability. Witness astroboy's post above :) Perhaps you should rephrase the 'notes' to get the criteria you want polled, eg happiness with one's ride.

Happiness to some is being problem-free, but happiness to others is other things about the car. Eg, a car being problem-free is not high on my scale of happiness...and that's why I haven't voted.

I can bet u will hit climax when u r alone with your E90 on KL-Cyberjaya highway after mid-night yah.. :D

Same here.. that's why I put "satisfy" despite having a leaky power steering pump for a 4 months old car.. :D :stupid:

Look at keeekeee's vote lagi best. His 4 month old E60 stall in the middle of the road and need to tow back to SC, and took couple of days to fix without a courtesy car, yet he still put "somewhat satisfy". If its from a Camry owner, he would have picked "extremely unsatisfied".. :D

Like doing it with a stranger without your rubber... very exciting! Do know if you r the next to kena and masuk workshop or not.. syiok !! :top:

"New car no need to masuk workshop ah?"
:D Seems BMW owner has accepted this FACT of BMW ownership.. :p

Had worse lah! Problem with Merc W211 at KLIA, drove all the way home at 40kmh with breakdown escort after midnight. Still no big deal to me. A car is a car, and it will breakdown whether it's a Merc, BM or Proton.

But reliability is a big deal to others, like Camry owners as you say. That's why they ride Camrys and we ride E90s, right astroboy? :smokin:

Got different, the keep the balance of their over RM60k in the bank while we invest it into our E90.. I wonder who's smarter? If tomorrow is end of the world, then of course we are smarter !!

Congrates on your E90 upgrade.. :D from 2007 to 2008..

Must be "Damn Satisfied".. :D

The smart people get jap cars. But the rest of us LIVE! :)

Thanks, but I would have been happier if the timing was such that I could have done it post-facelift. But then what the hell, what are friends for eh?

If you ask the statisticians in car insurance industry, they will tell you that new car has more probability of failure within the first six months than the next 6. My previous experience of owning a new Integra (in US) and Proton also include towing experience from highway to the dealer's workshop.

BMW- Banyak Masuk Workshop............

I would give "satisfied". The reason I cannot give FULL/VERY satisfied is because .......

After someone mentioned about Smart4four...I am eyeing on that and I lose interest in my car dy :(

I rode in JPB's Smartfour4 and, it's quite fun for a while, as its zippy and cute. But then it gets tiring, and its also noisy and harsh and will get on your nerves in an extended drive. In fact even the Jazz is more complaint and more insulated compared to the Smart.

You're gonna miss your E90 325i sport for sure hehe.

really?????????
How about the Vti?? ok ok i should bring this discussion on another thread.

maybe i should pay more attention to my 325i n utilise all the functions 100% to enjoy maximum satisfaction huh....

Hi rachel,

Just trying to figure out, Smart4four appeals more to you than E90?? What have JPB been spreading....... John where are you John :)

Ya lor! racheltoh, the Smarts are for pottering around city streets and are not for highway driving. They appeal to uber-yuppies trolling places like say...Kiara... influencing chicks with their cute-looking panda cars. :D
