BMW 2012 map is rubbish!!

Dear All,Just updated my map to 2012, but sad to say that it's rather outdated as in 2011 map. Definitely not as good as Garmin or Google Map...not even close. It looks good, though, but that's not the purpose!!Cheers

its only acceptable when you have connected drive , search via google local then go it via navi

Apparently thats what the SM ALex at Quill mentioned the other day when i pick up my ride cos i thought of bargaining for the 2012 map. He had advise the money is best spent on buying a Garmin, cheaper, accurate and can be updated without cost. Btw bought a demo 323i 2011 model black-black.

Agreed with both. The POIs are lacking in BMW 2012 map - the google local does help with the POIs. Tried the map recently to a few locations around Klang Valley and another in Negri Sembilan - some roads and routes are not updated and it brought me to 'holland'!!

Apparently the mapper is an established company but they are not very good for this part of the world.

My E90 base line spec. no iDrive.. been using my trusty Garmin Nuvi 255w which also comes with speedtrap POI notification. Never kena speed ever since.. used to slow down at all overhead bridges, now only selective ones.. FC also improves.. :4:

AB,all garmin comes with this function or u have to enable or download custom maps?
me no idrive same same like u one..
