Best Brand 2010 - fifth consecutive win in the 'ams' reader survey
5:0 for BILSTEIN
Germany, Ennepetal, 17th March 2010 – BILSTEIN is well-known, not only for its string of successes in motor sports - the suspension manufacturer has now been voted No. 1 for the fifth time in succession in the Best Brand reader survey organised by the magazine 'auto motor und sport'. In the category of sports suspensions, springs and shock absorbers, BILSTEIN gained 66.2% of all votes. This is a clear result - and the trend is upwards, because every year BILSTEIN scores higher in this important Best Brand vote.

The latest award brings further credit to the entire BILSTEIN team and is a great incentive, as it confirms quite clearly the growing popularity and confidence among customers in the quality and technology of BILSTEIN products.
The results of the voting in the Best Brand reader survey will be published in the current issue 7/2010.

Bro,

From what I understand, the B8 is just the absorber (monotube) while the B12 is the B8 absorber with springs. Well, at least this is what was relayed to me by Auto Future.

Yup. I am currently using B12 since april 2008. The front absorber has jammed no free play. Wanted to know the price for Just The B8 Monotube Front & rear.

B12 = B8 + H&R Springs. The front Drop is 35mm and rear is 33mm. I am looking to switch to Eibach Prokits

using b8 is the same as b12, it will not allow you any free play as well.
unless you use b8, but the springs only drop up to 30mm front and back.
cause b8 allows drop of 30mm to 40mm.

not all b12 springs are H&R, it is mixed. can be original bilstein springs or other brands like eibach.

Do you know what the drop is on the prokits? I know it may vary depending on the engine size.

sorry, me no specialist to eibach.
eibach specialist is jazz auto.
but for b8 and b12 specialist, look for auto future

Bro

Does anybody have the answer to this? It seems Auto Future provides 6-months warranty while BlueGreen provides 1-year warranty. Bilstein US, on the other hand, provides limited lifetime warranty?

The warranty is manufacturing defects only. however, for spare parts/aftermarket, there won't be any standard warranty agreement, unless given by the respective dealer.

whoever gives the warranty, Bilstein the name itself guarantees the quality. normally what we find outside is that the claim on noise only. this is usually due to poor installation or driving behaviour.

Called up Eng Soon for B8 price today and they quoted me-

Rear = 460 SGD a pair
Front = 620 sgd a pair

Full set front and rear = SGD 1080 X 2.4 = RM2592.00 un fortunately they do not have stock for rear.

even if you drive down to S'pore and back to buy it still cheeper

Which staff quoted you? Is it for small or big shaft(monotube)?
You still need to add 7% GST before currency conversion & normally if u buy SG$ its higher. I put 2.5. Coming back to M'sia is another story if unlucky kena tax. Worst case if any problem hv to send back to them.

Err by the way, I just bought the last set B8 for E39 hehehe:smokin:
