If this is the price than it is dirt cheap. If I am not mistaken, the B6 is close to RM 3k for a set of 4. I am assuming your price is for a pair. Which works out to S$ 540 for a set of 4 which is about RM 1,300

I checked my source ... B6 can be in the range from RM 2,200 to RM 3k

$540 should be a set of 2 only.

I just remembered of asking this...

What happens to those E39 Msport version that comes with Msport abs when the time comes for replacing these shocks? Can they get these abs from local stockist? I tried asking one of them stockist and they said the owners will have to replace to Bilstein B8 abs. Can someone with Msport package comform this please. Thanks.

The M sport suspension comes with matching springs/absorbers and different anti roll bar.

Obviously it will be expensive as it is matched and the absorbers are made to different specs. Like other have mentioned the sach performance could be the closest to it. You could still order the M sport absorbers either thru the official dealers or other BMW Spare part shops, be prepared to wait and pay a substantial amount for it.

Cheers

Actually why can't you all find the B6 in local KL? The price in KL should be the same as Singapore.

Got a question, if order via Singapore? how is the delivery made?
I work in Sg.

Don't know if you guys have seen this. Rather technical, but give you some perspective.

or perhaps Eibach Prokits/Koni Yellows combo
based on my experience with eibach pro-kit koni sa combo, i wouldn't recommend it. why not get replacement b8? having said that, it sucks to hear that your bilstein laste for a little more than a couple of years. had same problem you described with the koni adjustables on my e34. i thought bilstein would've lasted much longer hence i ordered the b12 to replace eibach/koni.

OMG...i'm hearing new news on bilstein....so what's the verdict? Bilstein tak leh pakai lama lama ka?

Maybe in the B12 combination of the shock and the H&R springs are not suitable for malaysian roads and the Front of the car take a vast dip from the ori suspension.

The front springs are one coil lower than my originals and the rear spring are on coil higher. Or maybe its just that my set of B12 has had the manufacturing defect and only gave way after almost 2 years.

Anyone here using Eibach Prokit and B8 combo please share.

Fake Blistein sure cannot last......always go for ORIGINAL.

I bought mine from auto future they claim to be bilstein distributor/agent.

How to spot a fake?

Nowadays the external finishes of the fakes are so good that a layman like us will be unable to spot the diffrence. Take for example golf set...China made fakes such as Nike, Taylor Made, Callaway...you cannot tell the diffrence unless you start hitting golf balls.

Conti belts also suffered from China/Taiwan made fakes. http://www.autospectator.com/cars/s...ntal-warns-against-pirated-tire-reproductions. So forum members complaint that their Conti belt don't last and probably the mechanic put in a fake.

So when you come across workshops who offers cheaper parts, beware that it could be fake parts.

Blistein shocks should last for a least 5 years. In North America, Blistein even offered life time warranty with certain provisions of usage. It is easy for any shops to claim that they are Blistein distributor/agent.

Yup, auto future seems to be agents of bilstein, but are currently our of stock of models for E39. Anyone knows how to spot a lemon? Why doesn't bilstein provide warranty here as well?

Bro bimmer73, how are your bilsteins fairing? Are they performing up to par? Is auto future trustworthy? They did strike me as quite professional when I met them

Sifus,

Does anyone know much about Bilstein PSS9 Coilover? They seem to be the ideal package for E39
