Hi there.I'm currently running Eibach lowered springs coupled with Bilstein blacks. I feel they are a tad soft for my driving style. So I am now comtemplating on changing to a stiffer setup. However, I do not want too hard a ride. Just firm. I understand there is a compromise between performance and comfort. So just want something firmer than the bilstein blacks. From what I read the B6 are for non lowered cars while B8 are. But I have also heard some have used the B6 with lowered springs and find them a good combination. And B8 may be too hard.I was recomended the Sachs performance kit but that will only be the last alternative since I already have lowered springs.Any suggestions?

i highly recommend Bilstein B8 with H&R springs. Its not for everybody, but i love it. Firm as hell!

I second this motion...bilstein b8 and H&R springs combo,may not be everyone's cup of tea,but sure is fun!!!:top:

I don't really want to buy another set of springs. That would be my last alternative if I have no choice.

I sometimes ferry family members so I do not want a hard ride. I wanna try out something firmer than the bilstein blacks and used in conjunction with the Eibach springs I have now.

U bang my cat ?? :listen:

On a more serious note , suspension setup is a 'customised' setup. Everybody has their own preference. A few elements contribute to the selection ; namely tire size, tire pressure, tire type, sidewall strength, springs/coils, absorbers, car weight etc etc etc ...

I have tried B8 / Eibach combo on the E30 ... good BUT the rear suspension is a tad softer to my liking.

I have tried B8 / Eibach combo on the E34 - good but floaty once u hit 200kmh ++ . The rear is somehow bounce all over the place

I have tried KONI + H & R - harder / firmer than B8 but tempremental if the weather is hot.

Towards the end - i choose KONI + H & R setup.

Maybe - having a ride in cars with diff setup can give you better understanding and 'feel' - before u decide which one suits you the best.

Suspension setup can burn a BIG hole in your wallet - i have gone thru tht path once too many times - but I never learn .... :stupid:

Yeah I realize suspension setup is a tedious process. Unfortunately I don't have the time and a deep enough wallet to do that.
