belting off from pulley!!!

Hi mate.. just to take some advice..my E90 belting off from the pulley..i saw one of the pulley was broken..maybe engine too hot..i already ask workshop to change the pulley..is it any others effect to the engine because temperature also hit at the time...anyone can advice??tq
