Lemme warmly welcome Energy too! We miss you man! Looking forward to what you have to say about your new ride cos you contributed very well on the E46 in the past. Hopefully, you can fill the void left by that KL2DC!

I also wish to suggest that this thread confines itself to its intended purpose as captioned. Surely, the E90 guys read other threads too and can respond accordingly. I'm sure we would love to join in other club activities but I too having got to know a lot of the guys here can understand their constraints i.e. I know who got new baby (also in other sense of the word, heh!), new house, new in-laws, new country, new job etc etc. So, please don't belittle us cos you think we appear to be exclusive. It's not like that. In fact, I would like to REITERATE my invite to ALL to join us at our next Saturday luncheon @ Souled Out or HH @ Hana.

The 2005 Titanium Silver was later discovered to be a low mileage lemon... So we got ourself a BRAND NEW 2007 E90 320i, this time is BLACK SAPPHIRE.. :D

Really, lesson learnt is must be careful with low mileage, less than 3 years old car!

..and the E90 now is all SE range (upgraded) because now there have the Highline range that has a nicer 17" rim with rear smoke lights and chrome exhaust tips, and wood internal trim.

Let me share our decision making process, which I find it interesting... The 2005 is asking 18xk because the owner bought it at RM270k CBU German. So to the owner, he/she loses a lot, about RM90k in 2 years and the car comes with a lousy sport rims despite having only 30k km on the odometer. We thought its a fair price as we saved about RM40k compare to a new one, until we noticed the accident repaired section today.

Then we call off the deal and go check the new 320i E90 and see if its very different from the 2005 model, and of course their offer la. That's where we found out the SE is no more because now they have the Highline model. The now "standard" 320i model comes with:

1. about 20% tint coated windows, that '05 model don't have.
2. rain sensor, that '05 model don't have.
3. 17" wheels, that '05 model don't have.
4. Electric Front seats, '05 model dunno got or not.
5. 3 years BRSI, '05 of course makan sendiri la..
6. lower interest (under BMW financing), '05 used car interest rate is much higher.
7. Xenon (Hi/Low), self leveling headlights.
8. Silver internal trim.

So it does not need much to convince us of getting a brand new unit is much better in value compare to getting an '05 used model. At least a trouble free first 3 years or 60k km.

Insurance alone near RM3k despite having 55% NCB..damn..
 
The 1.58% low rate financing really works out a handsome sum if u take high margin of financing making it no reason why any one would go for an 2005 used E90, leaving those who bought the E90 in 2005 at RM270k at a very sorry state.. :(

In our case, instead of the 1.58%, we opt for the 5% discount from selling price of RM236,800 and financed at 2.25% because we taking low margin of financing.. :D
