Had a meeting with Sean last night. He will design the course based on the following criteria :

1. Flowing - not much to memorise and each obstacle will link to another
2. No reverse - don't want anyone to fry their gearbox engaging R when still going forward!
3. No 360 degree turns
4. Handbrake turns will be optional though in certain cars the use of handbrake will get through the corner faster
5. Medium speed and unless you are a total moron, no longkang and kerbs will be within touching distance.
6. Only one vehicle on the course at any one time
7. Course should not last more than 60 secs on average.

There will be slaloms and some precision involved eg the end point of the course requires the car to come to a complete stop in a box so you can charge through the finish line.

Each participant will get to know the handling limits of their cars. The day is not about who is the fastest, is to know how your car handle at the limits in a safe environment.

The timed runs are built in to gauge the progress of each participant and also to create some friendly competitions between cars of similar capabilities. The different types of cars will also enable participants to see the handling characteristics of different cars (FWD v RWD, NA v Forced induction, Saloon v SUV, etc).
