... but with power steering and all that low down torque, the 328 may just be better around a tight circuit.... ..
We have not decided on the layout of the circuit yet. My personal preference will be to make it medium speed (not too fast for safety reasons) and less technical turns coz newbies should have fun. Maybe even one corner for drift / power slide??? But someone complained to me autocross makan tyres......not so lah if you don't do 360 degree turns. Also, the KKS / AAM autocross makan tyres coz they only had like 12 cars running around for the whole day!!!!

Bro! Better the 951 to understand the car better plus manual. My suggestion is to drive the 951 yourself & the 328 by your GF. Then she can learn also.

Get a few friends also lar.
I agree, bring your girlfriend and her many many friends. Alvin will waive the fees for them females.......

OSF,

Makan tyres? Hope you were at Shah Alam to see the autocross KKS run yesterday....... Smoking tyres were the course of the day......esp the last panic stop and this is not a 360 turn-lah bro. ( tyre wear even when going straight! )

Anyway, I have a set of Yokos mounted on rims waiting for me.......should I decide to join! You bring your E34 okie, then I am more tempted!

In the meantime - you all have fun!

Yeah the initial plan was to bring along the 328 and get my GF to drive it, but then she backed out.

So now, since you guys think i should bring the 951, then i shall. Saves me from making the decision myself! But if the circuit is going to be slow, then i am going to have problems with the turbo lag, and i don't wanna fry my clutch...

On a separate note, Sean is a bloody good instructor. He has taken me out once before and i must say that he is worth the cash. So if anybody is undecided, just DO IT la!

Oi, why you curse Sean???!!!!

hehehe, must be typo.

Yeah, my mistake. Damn good guy Sean. The difference between him and a good driver is that he can teach, and that's very important. Most guys can only drive fast, but he can tell you what to do, what you are doing wrong and why the car behaves like that.

As for my GF's, freinds. Yes can bring one or two along, but you guys have to keep to your word and pay! I know at least one that might be interested.

We shall try to set up a course which is not too tough on the car and maximum fun for the participants. Meeting up with Sean tomorrow night.

Yes, you are rite - the KKS one is a COMPETITION EVENT. So everyone was very gung ho, even the Lotus Elises and MRSs.....hence all the tyre smoke.

Please ask Sean to make the course simple......best if a different venue can be found i.e. Sepang car park which is concrete I think. Shah Alam drift area, I have tested before.......in the wet.

Have fun and do post the course once it's finalised then more people can see for themselves if it's too hard for them & car.....with the hope MORE will join!

eh my previous post didnt make it? pls exclude Italia Auto from the event for now. quite poor response from our side.

thanks!

No prob, Redd. Are you coming though? We open up the slots to others but anyone from Italia Auto can still come if there are slots available.

Zoggee, u don't talk so much. I have put yours & MagicFox names down. When the time comes, you sure can get a car - red trueno turbo or else go to the Proton Edar showroom at Giant Shah Alam to take out test drive Proton Savvy!
