Auto To Manual Conversion For M43 Engine..How Much The Cost???

Hye all Sifus and frenz..can anyone share how much the cost and which worksyop can do convertion from auto to manual trany for M43 Engine??if got other thread or link please share herei hope all sifu can help newbiee like methanks..:top:

Bro wan e46, the gearbox for M43 and N42 is the same, please see here http://realoem.com/bmw/partxref.do?part=23007505600&showeur=on

So the cost would be similar, for a guideline, I spent less than RM3K for the whole conversion, part + labor. Most shop can do the mechanical conversion work, not so for coding. Cheers.

I don't know for sure from which engine the parts are taken off by the breakers. The requirement given to them is N42 manual conversion parts.

Locally, the price is still astronomical with requirement of them taking your auto parts. Coding is still hit and miss Bro, but N42 should be fine, and mine is done at a workshop. Cheers.

coding means, programming the ECU to update the removed of autogearbox the details are mentioned in aidilj post above
