Hi guys,I wa driving from KL to Penang today. Slow drive and cruising along until before Tapah , and then... this audi 2.0t shows up in my mirror and overook me. Didn't give it much heed, gay car and all...he he. Then got itchy and tried to cucuk. Bloody hell, damned good pick up meh! My 328 e46 was nose t nose till 180 kmh after that the bloody audi surged ahead, reached 220, already catching up, but not enough road la....This went on until outskkirts of Ipoh then, went to streptronic and bashed the gyt through the curves, and reached the toll with some pride intact.Aisehman, ball shrink, 2.0 la.................

No use. The new Audi B8 2.0 TFSI Quattro will beat the E46 330 as well I feel. It has 350Nm of torque.

Look how the torque peaks at 3500 rpm, downhill after that. Its a very highly tuned engine. Is it reliable???

FYI the new B8 A4 2.0t pushes out 211bhp,connected to a 7sp twinclutch gearbox and quattro drive.Different league already..

Maybe the driver of that car wasn't pushing it since the car is pretty new in the market.

The quattro is not in the country yet. Now way to outhandle a quattro......But this guy was pushing the car, but slowed obviously down at curves. Straight line would speed up again. It was a Penang car PEP3***. Interestingly, the 328 can keep neck and neck till 180kmh, between 180 to 220, the other car surged ahead pretty quick, then by the time the 328 got second breath, ran out of road la........

This 2.0 tfsi is also used in the golf gti, right? Where is the power coming from. Of course, its far from the 240 hp or os the 2 litre evo produces. Is it a huge turbo charger? Or is it the FSI? Is it reliable? It definitely cant be frugal.

Yes the B8 2.0t uses the same engine as the mk6 Golf GTi but has a 7speed S-Tronic gearbox,the mk6 has a 6speed DSG.

Where our bimmer lags behind is the stupid auto gearbox..these Audis and GTis run on twinclutch superquick gearboxes,hence why we just can't keep up.Now,a 328i e46 with a manual box might be able to give a little bit of a fight,but not much

In that case ,you're right, maybe the owner was not used to the car yet...Quattro hmmm.......Have to wait for resale value to drop la. Good thing they drop like a rock.

Audi 2.0T B8 is Quattro, means better traction at cornering. Some more, with ESP, make it better control. But also depend on the driver's skill.
