(ASK) Some Aircond Sound

Hi guys, am looking at buying a bmw soon :love: and have been going around car dealers to get a used e46 .My question is, i sat inside a E46 318 that i liked and when i did a sound check test, i noticed a very distinct "whirr" sound at the background from inside the car with radio off and aircond on. Asked the SA about it, and he said that EVERY BMW e46 is like that. Most e46 bmw aircond have the whirrrrrr sound

1) some say the compressor is wearing out
2) some say change cooling coil
3) some say its normal and should let it be
4) some say just add compressor oil or aircond gas (quick temporary fix)

Well, my experience is, went to aircond shop, they say compressor should be replace and the whirrrr sound will be gone. I have not done anything yet though, still surveying around for real answers

There are some threads that talks about this, go search around....people recommended naidu in GASING that can fix this but the cost is parang level.......

Thanks bro, read thru the thread before, and can confirm the diagnosis was not as worse as the cars owners mentioned.

Anyway, will look out for this when i do the assessment on the cars next week.

i noticed that on a car when i went bmw scouting the other day in cheras ....

I was wondering whether its a normal sound that i should expect in a UDM.
