Air-cond vent for rear seat

Hi all 1-series owner,Recently I found something new in my 1-series when I clean my carpet. There are 2 air-cond vent under the driver and co-driver seat. It blows air out to the rear seat leg compartment. (If you want to test, you can switch the air-cond to leg direction). I am surprise with my 'discovery'. hehe...hope you too..:top: But I am wondering will it be stucked by particles like sand, mud that passenger stepped in? and what is the prevention step??:burnout:

the oldies also have these vents....more so used for heating the feet in cold weather.don't worry about it.my 19 year old e34 vents are still clog free after all these years

i discovered them on my 1er 2 nights ago... while searching for something under the seat..
Good for drying wet feet/shoes
