Adjuster unit problem

hi guys...mine is e46 325, been told by my fren had a adjuster unit problem too. i noticed everytime when my car is almost stop, my l/100km meter is gone up eventho i didnt press the paddle and then slowly went down after few sec. and also my rpm meter is not stable every morning (warming up engine) and its caused a slight shaking on the engine. is this 2 problems caused by the adjuster unit?? how much is the adjuster unit?? thanks
