I think your battery charge is low and that may have caused the active steering disabled. Check your battery, wiring and alternator for possible cause.

Many thanks Mr splee. ample time for drive to workshop? distance about some 15km away (+ or -). Else wil need to get the mech to house.

to Bro Ghiblii and others. Can u pls update regarding to the Inactive streering. I also facing the same problem and try to find any clues. Is it rite this message is due to alternator or weak battery or wiring....

i cut and paste jawapan dari forum lain.

My active steering failed and i got the message on the I-drive. My power steering got really hard too.

My mechanic told me to turn the car on and off atleast 15 times and then to drive it like a maniac.

suddenly power steering came back and warning light went off.
