Accelerator Pedal is low

Im driving 2.0L 6 cyclinder, just recently bought. I noticed something weird regarding the accelerator pedal level. It is kind of low compared to my japanese car, it is normal ? The other thing is the engine sound i heard when im driving, sounds like V6 even when i go slowly and rpm is around 3k then it change gear to 2nd , 2nd to 3rd. Anyone having the same sounds or the rpm is bit higher for inline 6? Really need help on this matter, thx.
