About the production date

Hi all master sifu,do u know How to check the production date?

Will there be instances where the production date stated in the VIN check is 2013 while the car reg card production year is listed as 2014?

If yes, is that normal and if not, what is the recourse, if any?

yes....during my search for an e60 i did chk the vin of a 2014 car as stated in the reg card but the vin search revealed that it was 2013.

after finally finding my car....same case.reg card says 2014 but vin says 2013.the parts and most components on bmws have the manufacture date stamped on it and sure enuff when i diy stuff i found that all are made in oct 2013.....oh well....it's an 11 year old car today...or maybe 12 years old?

just drive n enjoy it i guess......

If not mistaken this is because the car parts was produced earlier before transferred here for assembly. Our reg card stated the date of complete assembly & reg

The production date indicates when the engine/gearbox is built if I'm not mistaken. My car registered on June but production date says March.

where to find the VIN number even though I goggled it ..

what I can find is the chassis no, engine no, gearbox no

check on the driver door sill. the A pillar. where the tyre pressure reccomendation sticker is sticked. or the engine bay on the chasis.
