Good day boss and taiko-taiko :top:I have this abnormal ABS activity on my E39. Whenever on slow speed braking/traffic jam will lead to the functioning of ABS on the front right wheel. And no I don't have ABS light on. Tire is new, road is flat. Wheel speed sensor? Disc Rotor? Appreciate on your opinions. Thanks :top:

What do you mean by "will lead to the functioning of ABS"?? Do you mean your ABS is activated??

Yes bro Herbert. Activated unnecessarily.

Don't think anything wrong with speed sensor. Most likely rotor or brake pad.

isaac, do you feel any pulsation on your brake pedal at the time you 'think' your abs is activated? If no pulsation then your abs didn't kick in.

How hard have you to press the pedal down? Or you mean just gradually braking coming to a stop makes the ABS kicks in? Hmmmm..this is something new...to me at least.

I'd only applied very light pressure on the brake pedal.

Maybe I should start with the rotors, they are in quite bad condition

I had that problem before and it is due to the abs sensor cable intermittently short circuit fooling the system due to the insulator on the cable koyak!

How much did it costs you to replace the cable bro cwlee? :top:

the cable would have cost less than rm200 but what i did was the cut the cable, reconnect the cable using soldering iron, repair the sleeve and everything is back in business. I intend to only change it when my car is due for service next month.
