Hi guys,It seems like the rear sun blinds for the 2005 E60 has broken. Auto Bavaria has quoted me nearly RM3k for a new one. Does anyone know where I can get it replaced? Or a cheaper alternative, I was thinking of buying from those breakers. Also, I need to replace the rotors and brake pads. Where should I get it done and which brand should I go for? Thanks!

check... bavaria auto. inner power and BOMIN... you can google for their contact no

I always get original BMW rotors and pads from Bavaria Auto.

thats it.. i have never came accross a shades with busted motor but always the gears. and there are plenty of diy sites that shows you how to repair.

Thanks UNOs and docrayboy, I will check with them later.

Pc8800, I am currently at a bad internet location, will check it on Monday, but thanks for the link! I will also post some pictures when I can.

Thanks alantiong, will try look for them. As mentioned I will post pictures, I doubt it's the motor..

Mine sunshade too, it can rise to open, but hardly to close down, need to manually pull it down, I suspect the arm issue....

Update!
Ok, brakes are done! Bought it from inner power!

As for the sunshade, found that everything is working but the part that connects the arm and to the shade itself is broken. Just like the video pc8800 gave!
I'm looking for that part because ordering from them would be USD 119 excluding shipping...

I have the same problem with my E46 sunshade as well. It is not the arm but alignment problem.

I solved it by releasing the tension on the 4 mounting bolts. The bolts are located inside the boot.
