523 UK Specs DVD Player Not Functioning

hi all,just bought my E60 523 M sport 2006 UK specs and just become a new member here.would like to ask about the DVD player pre-installed in my car. Anyone here know how to enable the DVD player function as i tried it myself but still it is not functioning. The other function like FM radio, CD and TV are functioning well. Asked the dealer about it and they referred to me to Accessories shop whereby they asked me to do some interfacing or something like that which will cost me around 2k. try my luck here if anybody can share their experience so that can save lots of money.many thanks

Bro, if im not mistaken, your DVD unit is only for DVD Navigation .. means it only can work for Navigation DVD Maps .. not movie DVD .. The DVD player can play audio CD but not movie .. correct me if i'm wrong..

You have to install the MMI to play the DVD.

i think so la bro.. that accessory guys did told me about the MAP. so if that is the case, how should go about it now?

thanks for ur response. so the MMI is something to do with the interfacing right? can u recommend me any workshop in klang valley that can do that
and what is the estimated cost? mau buat bajet maa.. thanks a lot
