How do I check if I have Vanos? Mine is E36 325i 1994

According to the webpage, only M50TU engine use the vanos technology. You have to make sure yours is M50 or M50TU.

You should also order the rattle repair kit as replacing the single vanos seals won't resolve the rattling noise.

How to check if my is M50TU? I did enter my VIN number in realoem but it says invalid VIN????

I think can determine from the engine itself right? Anyone got pics?
