We took advantage of the break in the wintry weather for a little get-together at Starbucks. Pumped on sugar and caffeine, we did a backroad blast :p It was a great day. This is the first time I've done a run with the 335i's. What torque, what noise  Fear of Virginia's uniformed finest and blind corners/crests meant that speeds were capped to not more than 90mph-100mph, reckless as it was. Which was fortunate as given free reign, I wouldn't have been able to keep within close range of those turbo monsters  I was running mid pack with the 328i and the 330i, the turbo monsters leading the charge and the M3 covering our rear ends. It was a great day! And timely too, as lo and behold, we have snow and ice today :( In attendance: 3 E92 335i, 1 E90 335i, 1 E90 330i, 1 E90 328i, 1 E90 325i and 1 E46 //M3 Cab Note: Yes, my car is still dirty...haven't found time to wash car lol

Didn't take much pics during the drive...should've taken the camcorder and mount. Let's just say there were a few DSC moments.

KL2DC, I love your rims :)

Thanks but...Bah! I put them on too soon. Just my luck, we're having the most significant snow fall of the season today :( Summer performance tires and snowy freezing weather don't go well together (summer tires gets extremely slippery). My E90 is not going anywhere today...

Oh, well...I'm gonna have to take the day off tomorrow :p

edit: pic I took an hour ago from my balcony :(

Thanks, man!

It was fun, we're trying to do more of these little events to add to our bi-annual big meets. We had many cancellations and rescheduling but we decided to just come out and do this....

StRat, just take the initiative for that meet you have in mind. I can contribute ideas/experiences if you like. Remember like in the 'Field of Dreams', "If you build it, they will come...". Work with this motto....

I'm bored, might as well post up some favorite pics of my car...

Proud to be Malaysian...

Cool! ;) Hope you had a great visit.... :)

the visit was great except for the meetings.
however, there were more nicer bimmers in SF (visited in Jan 07) compared to DC. hehehe.... was on I-10, M3s were so common. And don't get me started on the Humvees :p

by the way, i tried looking for shops around DC area for Bimmer stuff... PM me any links/info if you have so that I can plan for my next trip :D

Well actually its down to differences in culture...the whole west coast vs east coast thing. The west coast folks tend to have more free time or have a laid back approach to things and have more time for cars and meets.

East coast in general (especially the northeast and mid-atlantic) tend have more conservative tastes than west coast. Note the color choices of most folks here, sticking to their blues, blacks, silvers and greys.

Because of the weather, the roads conditions are worst in this part of the country making it hard to maintain/drive modified cars. The BMWs around here tend to be OEM stock.

We pay property taxes on our cars as well.

We don't have accessory shops per se. I buy all my stuff online from stores/vendors based in California. You have to resort to a lot of DIY here.

What kind of stuff are you looking for?

...Hmmm:rolleyes: ...got one Cabrio M3 in your group!...nice!:p

Its an oldie but goodie :D

The owner, my friend, also has an E90 325i for his daily car. But it was such a nice day, he felt compelled to take the M3 out of winter hibernation. It is a beautiful car which he drives hard!

Owh...I see:rolleyes: ...btw,how much the E90 325i price there?...I mean convert to our currency?;)
