325 meter cluster in 320 ?

Hi all Sifus!My E30 meter cluster is dead in terms of the odometer and the temp gauge so i am looking to replace itHere's my rookie question.....Can a meter cluster from a 325i be installed in my 320i ? Both are MotoMeter brand by the way but, what I notice is that my original unit have something called a "Codier Plug" (hopefully correct spelling) at stuck in the back of the meter. The 325i unit I saw does not have it. The meter casing has a break-off tab in place but not sure if such connector is built-in the meter inside.So? Can the meter work on my 320?Thanks

as long as all the original connectors fit the connector plugs from the 325 meter, it should work. don't know about the speed and rpm calibration, tho.

That's what i was afraid of..... might tell the correct speed but not RPM etc.....

Anyone else know?

M20B20 to M20B25 should be not be any issue.

it wont work, find something similar.. unless the the engines are motronic or L-jetronic..
