Need feedbacks from sifus and to those who own a 320i e46,I just found a 320i E46 mfg year 2000 CBU, Manual and just submiited the loan. According to the bank the model is not their 2010 list yet, will refer to hq. Anyone here know roughly the market price? Interest rates alsi just went up to 4.1% on the 15th March...damn.I also read in wikipedia that 320i e46 used M54 engine and this M54 use aluminium lining that can corrode when using high sulfur content fule. Is our ron95/n97 have high sulfur?Any other major things that i must watch for before i buy this model?thanks

I think you got it mix up with the Nikasil lined engine, M52- inline six and M60-V8 ...

Copy and paste from wiki :D

"In markets with low-sulfur fuel this engine was very highly regarded and the M52 was on the Ward's 10 Best Engines list for 1995 through to 1998. However, there was criticism of the M52 engine in some markets, especially the UK, which had high levels of sulfur in the petrol during the late 90's. Sulfur acts as a corrosive agent against Nikasil and led to a lot of the early engines having premature bore-liner wear. Fortunately this problem was solved in post-September 1998 cars with the introduction of steel cylinder liners, with the designation M52 TU-3. '

"Over the years, BMW has provided replacements with steel, cast-iron or Alusil lined engines, at considerable cost to the manufacturer. Often, disgruntled owners have borne the brunt of these replacement costs, and prospective buyers are at risk, too."
