E46 320i M-Sport

Guys.. need some help here.Was looking at a 2002 E46 320i M-Sport. There are some things i need to find out:1. In early 2002, were there cars of this exact model but with pre-facelift? 2. For the SMG bumpers, there is usually a black cover inside the air vents (see pic). Can we buy just the covers? Easy to find?3. For the M-Sport package, has the engine been tuned? If so, what is the significant difference? What about the gearbox?4. The E46 318i 2.0 engine is still being used in the current 3 series. How about the 320i engine? Is it still in production?

1. Yes.

2. That is the air-duct to cool the brakes. You can buy it anywhere.

3. Engine is standard 2.2L Straight 6. The difference between M-Sport and non M-Sport is bodykit, suspension, door sills with M logo, steering with M logo and budket seats.

4. If i am not mistaken, the 318i's 2.0 engine is use in the current 320i but with added double vanos. The E46's 320i is a 2.2L Straight 6 and its no longer used.

You can try Auto Bavaria or Bavarian Auto.

Maybe there are replica ones? If there are replica SMG bumpers, then I would assume there are also replica covers for these air ducts.

I've checked Motorsport Division, Redzone Motorsport, Racing Fit Motorsport, Next Level Customz, GC Motorsport, Eurocar Motorsport, JE Racing Motorsport, Auto Technika, Dai-Ichi & Bumi Fiber. None of them have replica. I checked with them in February '07. Who knows, maybe they have it now.

Wow. That's a lot of checking. Were you missing these covers as well? Or were you looking for replica SMG bumpers?

Don't tell me there are no replica bumpers?!

There are plenty of replica bumpers in the market, i think bro clint was looking for the covers too.

The best replica SMG bumper would cost around RM1,300 without spray painting and the place i strongly recommend is Next Level Customz. They do everything in-house, professional, friendly and they even have their own spray painting booth.

I also looking at the same air duct in Penang. So far none. The only way is Mighty Costing Auto Bavarian : )
