Hi All,

I picked up my 320d about 3 weeks ago with 2200kms on the clock.

Ordered the DTUK from England and it arrived in a few days. Now the installation looks a bit daunting and I am thinking that I will enjoy the car as it is for a while. I would then go for the performance upgrade from AB. So I have a brand new unit of the DTUK for any takers...

This has been an impulse buy...

Thanks and Regards

Better install it and give it a go since you already have it. You'll be wondering what you missed, bro....

Installation is very easy bro, just check out with the other F30 users. A number of them are on the DTUK bypass box as well.

Hi All,

Is there any one having experience with DTE piggyback system?

Fui,

Many here are on DTUK. Be specific with exactly what you want to know and I am sure most of us will help answer your questions.

:listen: our mr. YF is a 'certified' dtuk installer... you can pm him. i think a teh tarik will do...

Have installed the DTUK for some time now...very strong low end pick up. high end also has improved. few cars on the highway can beat that.. its totally different from stock 320D.

Thanks all gentlemen for the prompt reply.

My 320d have already installed ppk. Would it have any difference if i add in the DTUK?

What will be the final horsepower and torque?

Just curious, how does the DTUK piggyback (I'm assuming is piggyback) cope with our local diesel quality? Any downsides as compared to stock? Also I'm assuming warranty at risk if you don't remove it before sending for service right?

Also does the installation mean that the engine requires additional cooling? I'm assuming since its developing more power it's generating more heat.

Yes it's a piggy back. Have been using it for more than a year and 30K Km, and am glad to say its definitely worth the money. No issues with cooling or the fuel.

No worries about the fuel quality as the localised 320d does not have the DPF nor NOx reduction system. I have DTUK on top of PPK and it is just such a pleasure to drive...for reference, dyno readings are 206ps and 445Nm for mine. Different cars will have different readings...though it won't differ by much. By the way, mine is E90 320d.

Hi joonsuan,
May I know the stated readings are on the wheel?

Also wondering if you know on the wheel readings for DTUK alone? Or PPK alone?

I believe the numbers are on wheel.

With PPK only: 187.73 ps, 391.39 Nm

With PPK + DTUK: 206.43 ps, 444.73 Nm (my map 4 at zero setting)

With PPK + DTUK: 207.12 ps, 462.31 Nm (my Map 4 at +2 setting)

By the way, these are readings off the dyno chart...so use it as reference only. Different rigs give different readings...

Thanks for the readings, much appreciated.

Was planning on doing DTUK only (no PPK), do you have any numbers for this config by any chance? Also, any reason not to do it this way? Currently have some other plans for the car first. Performance comes second place at the moment since I have other priorities right now

No particular reason other than I already have the PPK, ticked the option when I filled the order form.
