sorry for keeping quiet since few months. my 2001-e39 has got noisy over its fan system when engine started? can i drive it for min 40min to reach BM ipoh? any suggestion.

The sound most likely is cause by a worn-out clutch fan or alternator belt bearing. Should be no problem to drive to the workshp.

U can try Ipoh Garage in Tambun. If too far from your location, M Power Ah Kuan in KK road also good.

Do u know how to go to Lost of World Tambun? Let say Lost of World in right side, mcD in left side. Go straight for less than 200m and turn left when u see an entry to SMI shoplot. Give a call to Saiful the boss, the shop is there.

Dear Kelvin,
Appreciate your further clarification.

Is there any physical damage on the FAN BLADE or THE HOUSING or an 'alien' (external things) that cause the damages. Or its simply because off aging parts?

BTW:
- How much is the BMW Ori Batt cost?
- What is the benefit of having it original BMW if those can still be operates?
- Any impact on this existing non-ori BMW batt to the overall electrical/alarm system? e.g. Will there be a un-necessary alarm always?
- What is your recommendation on this? Change to ori?

Please have photos (during at work) on those IMPORTANT parts replacement!

OK Bro, a bundle of thx for the advice. As I mentioned recently, I'll do it for next round of service/repair (for sure); looks like it will be both 'head lamps' that starts intermittent!
At this early time of experience with that 11yrs UDM, my instinct still convinced me to 'rely' on 'original BM w/shop'... TQ again!

Meanwhile, I'd agreed them to change with Ori BMW Batt with cost estimation of RM1500? Anyone have other view? Any previous reference/discussion on this topic?

No need to change to ori battery unless you insist on it. Many other battery brands price from RM 450.00 to RM 650.00 for e39.

We found the housing is deformed. This the reason cause fan blade touching with housing and cause fan blade damage.

A original battery cost about RM 1,500. (including labour charges)
Benefit of using a original battery is:
