Hi allBeen absent from this forum for a while.Recently, the butt got a bit itchy and was thinking abt upgrading the wifey's E90 323i which i drive quite often too. Was wondering, has anyone changed the rims of their non Msport e90 to 18 or 19 inchers? My concern is, since its not an msport unit, the car sits higher than an msport unit. Is it going to look like its in stilts ( terkangkang/awkward ) with 19 inchers? Car is still under warranty, hence not very keen on lowering them at the moment. A few options at the moment.Style 230, AC rims etc.

I ve changed my E90 from Standard 158 style with RFT to Style 160 Non RFT Michellin
Looks classy and much more supple ride.
Then changed the wheels again to 18 inch 162 (Bridgestone RFT and budget tyres) front- Not much harsher and ride is still pretty much the same ( Not lowerred) except the front tyres making a lot of noise. Dont like it
Next week the 162 Is going ( For sale by the way) to give way for 19 inch Pre owned BBS CK with Michellin PSS. I was skceptical about 19 IN but what the heck. The 18 inch does looks puny with my M sport kitted car now.
Will write FR then

Nope
Normal 320i but have done M sport Bodykit
Next will be 19 Inch and Bilstein B8 and Lowering Spring

If budget permits, get some light forged alloys with lighter rubbers like Michelin PS2/ Super Sport. This will help pick up speed, and good fuel consumption.

Just changed my ride to 19 inch BBS CK
Non staggered
Rear running on almost new Michelin PS2
Front brand new Michelin PSS.

Car is much more smoother. No affect on acceleration no uneven or hard bump going over pot holes ( Previously on Bridgestones RFT)
Driven for 10-20 km only
will give better report later.

Am loving the E90 on 19!

What warranty? Which warranty on what? Changing tyres and rims affects what? That is more important to ask ...

Depends on how you talk to your SAs I guess and pray nothing happen. If its ori BMW parts usually there's no probs, but after market wheels they will have something to say

Unrelated but void? Idiots. SA told me BMW no problems one. Never heard got any. May I sue them? LOL

I know the same was also stated in my other car, which is the VW. They actually stated it clearly in their terms and conditions that for rims it would void the suspension and suspension arm. Not too sure if it is stated in BMW's one.

Even washing your car with non BMW approved shampoo will void the paint warranty too.

I`ll be damned!!!

mine: 19 inch on Normal suspension

imo, 19" wheels do complement the "skema" looks of a 4-door sedan e90..makes it look more young and sleek :vroam:
